Teak
The teak selected by Ethimo comes from controlled plantations in Thailand and Indonesia. It is an outstanding material of high quality, ideal for making garden furniture, as it is extremely durable even when exposed to temperature fluctuations, water, humidity and salt.
Stained teak
To give teak of the very best quality a vintage charm, it is stained. Above all it is brushed, so that the surface becomes rougher and appears older, by removing its natural oily patina. It is then protected with a treatment that makes it look grey from the outset. Over time it takes on the natural silver-grey patina of untreated teak and acquires a brushed feel to the touch. This type of teak must not be treated with oil, but only washed with water and soap.
