The round Giano dining table by Cattelan Italia is an iconic design object that combines elegance, material quality and a timeless formal language. Since 2014 it has been regarded as a modern reinterpretation of the classic central-column table: the sculptural steel base with its precise slot works like an architectural element that reveals the inner structure and gives the piece an exceptional visual lightness.
The table top is made of fine solid wood in Canaletto walnut (NC) or burnt oak (RB) – two natural woods that make the table look warm, authentic and high-quality. The round form creates a communicative table situation, ideal for sociable evenings, open living areas and modern dining rooms in which design and function interlock harmoniously.
Giano is available in three generous diameters (Ø140, Ø160, Ø180 cm) and offers differing amounts of space without restricting the free legroom of the central column. The table can optionally be extended with the rotating Lazy Susan serving tray – an elegant solution for conveniently sharing food and drinks.
With its mixture of modern geometry, craftsmanship and high-quality materials, Giano is a durable design classic that works both in private living areas and in stylish hospitality projects.
