Carl Hansen FK63 cabinet with Legs
The FK63 bookcase system was developed for the individual presentation of functional and aesthetic objects, and enlivens any room with its distinctive presence. Designed in 1963 by Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm, the piece grew out of their shared interest in functional-minimalist design, with its focus on proportions, craft details and natural materials. It is made of solid FSC®-certified (FSC-C135991) oak, which is oiled to further highlight the wood's texture and grain.
This Version stands freely in the room: the cabinet rests on a slender, black lacquered steel Frame, giving it a height of 72.5 cm. Frame, doors and back panel are made of solid oak and oak veneer, with handles and hinges in brass. Villa Schmidt offers two Sizes — 72.5 × 56 × 36 cm (19.8 kg) and 72.5 × 112 × 36 cm (34.4 kg). Both come with a back panel in oak veneer. The 72.5 × 56 cm module is available in a left-hand or right-hand Version. Accessories available for each module include a matching oak shelf and a drawer in white-oiled ash. All dimensions are Height × Width × Depth.
