Carl Hansen CH33P chair
Wegner's light, sculptural CH33P is based on the ideas and Shapes typical of his finest designs. The chair was designed in 1957 for Carl Hansen & Søn and produced for ten years. After a break of around 45 years, production resumed in 2012. The design of the CH33P is defined by strong character and clear organic Shapes. The height, depth and angle of the elegant chair are carefully tailored to the user, and the dimensions of the Wood are chosen according to the aspects Wegner considered essential. The characteristic curved Backrest is made from moulded veneer with visible round cover caps. The Wood construction of the chair looks dynamic and suits modern interiors well. The CH33P has an upholstered seat covered in leather or textile, which increases comfort and emphasises its luxurious appearance.
The CH33P has a Frame made of solid Wood; the Backrest is made of moulded veneer, and the seat is padded with foam. The Frame is available in beech soaped, clear lacquered, oiled or lacquered in the CHS Soft Colors (gloss 5, soft), in oak soaped, clear lacquered, oiled, white oiled or black lacquered (NCS S9000-N, gloss 20), as well as in oak/walnut clear lacquered or oiled — oak/walnut means the chair frame and cover cap are made of oak while the Backrest is made of walnut. Lacquered beech shows minimal Wood grain, while lacquered oak shows a clearly visible grain. The Cover is available in Fabric groups 1 to 4 as well as leather groups A, B and C.
