The Erica armchair is an innovative combination of extruded and die-cast aluminium. It offers a high level of seating comfort thanks to its ergonomically shaped seat cushion and, with its low weight and elegant design, is suitable for public as well as private settings. The lacquered frames are combined with a weave of synthetic bands that has a high-strength inner core and was developed specifically for outdoor use.

Untreated fabrics (AGATE - EFESO - ELIDE - LESIA - LINDOS - LIPARI - SAMOS)
These fabrics underline the comfort of the products, as they are comparable to indoor covers in softness and breathability, even though the fibres used are stabilised polypropylene (PP - Agate, Efeso, Elide, Lesia, Lipari, Samos) or polyester (PL - Lindos) for outdoor use. Furniture covered with these fabrics requires more careful care, as it absorbs water, even though the waterproof inner cover does form a certain barrier. Under extreme conditions (heavy and prolonged rain), however, there is a risk of water penetrating into the cushions.

Fabrics with a water-repellent treatment (ECATE - ELCE - EOS - LEILA - LOREO - SILEA)
The water-repellent treatment is a permanent treatment and can only be used on polyester fabrics (PL - Elce, Loreo, Silea) or on acrylic fabrics (PC - Ecate, Eos, Leila). Its greatest advantage is that the fabric fibres become completely impermeable without the appearance, the handle, the effect or the breathability of the fabric being impaired in any way. As the fabric is water-repellent it does not become damp, but that does not mean the fabric is impermeable, since its reverse side is not given the waterproof treatment. The acrylic fabrics (PC - Ecate, Eos, Leila) underline the softness, which is comparable to indoor covers.

Fabrics with a water-resistant treatment (ELEO - ELETTO - EPEO - ERIA - EVO)
These fabrics are also stabilised polypropylene for outdoor use. The difference from the untreated fabrics is that these fabrics are given a waterproof treatment on the reverse side: a polyurethane film is applied to the back of the fabric, which ensures that no water can penetrate. The visible side becomes damp, while the inner side is protected against the ingress of liquids. Please note that the waterproof fabrics are not 100% impermeable; if the fabrics are exposed to water frequently and for long periods (e.g. in heavy rainfall), protective covers should be used to protect the product and to prevent water from penetrating through the seams and wetting the upholstery. The polyurethane film remains stable even after numerous washing cycles and can therefore be described as a permanent finish.

Waterproof fabrics (ALCEO)
Alceo is a waterproof fabric from the nautical sector with a high resistance to weathering, germs, abrasion and stains, which also makes it suitable for the contract sector. It is a waterproof fabric that prevents water from penetrating. The textile was developed specifically for outdoor use without any particular care effort: a damp sponge is enough to remove stains, and dry dirt can simply be removed with a brush. Alceo is able to retain its original appearance with minimal care and prevents water from penetrating into the cushions.
